She is a senior level, strategic thinker who throughout her career has committed herself to strengthening the community through nonprofits and community foundations that serve it. She is a respected national presenter and thought leader on philanthropy in communities of color.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Clemson University and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University. As she has throughout her life, Veronica remains personally dedicated to empowering people of color to create the change they want to see in their communities.
Tara Kleinschmidt, mother of 2 boys and 2 girls, moved to South Carolina from Washington State in 2007 and began working for Acts Metro in 2010. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with her Master Degree in Social Work. She uses her knowledge and expertise to provide Case Management services to all of the families enrolled in Acts Metro while also serving as the Family Director and Co-Director for the Empower Run. Tara has a passion for serving families to become self-sufficient, and finds great pleasure in working with the families at Acts Metro.
